A year after graduation at Cape I got an "invitation" by the Navy to go to Alaska in 1969. I got out in 1971 and stayed in Anchorage. It's been an adventure. Skiing, snow mobiling, flying, fishing, hunting, and golf are some fun Alaska activities.
After 23 years in sales with Motorola and IBM
I left in 1991. My wife Dawn and I stated buying rental real-estate in 1989 and it has worked out
pretty well. We have about 50 units so there is always something to do.
We live in Anchorage with Mountains on one side and the Ocean on the other. Our home is on a Lake in town we use for a Float Plane Airport, water skiing and winter XCountry skiing... Year
around fun in Alaska!!

I am having a good life. My beautiful wife of 31 years, Pat, is a Texan. We met in Austin when I was stationed at Fort Hood before Nam. We have three children, Kristen 26, Scott 24 and Heather 16 and two grandprincesses, Landry 17 months and Julia 2 months (Kristen’s). We live on a small ranch in East Texas, which is the forested part of Texas with many lakes, rivers and pine forests. Pat and I love to travel, cruising is our favorite. I practice as a board certified foot surgeon and own East Texas Foot Associates with five offices.
I returned to graduate studies after serving three years in the Army as a Lieutenant, Infantry, ending that short career as a platoon leader with the 101st Airborne Division. I forgot to zig instead of zag one afternoon with resultant multiple foreign metal objects in my body. This incident led me to my profession. Brother Glenn Casey served in the same Brigade and we were able to visit several times. Bull Robinson and I were in training together through basic, A.I.T. and O.C.S. as well as Jungle Warfare School in Panama.
Casey showed me that brothers are everywhere. He flew over my position south of the A Shau Valley in a command chopper, radioed me with the greeting “phi phi brother, I’m looking out for you”. That made me feel much better, in that we were 10,000 miles from the world in deep doo-doo. As my luck runs, two days later I was whacked, so he visited me in the 85th Evac hospital, Phu Bai.

After cutting short my academic pursuits in 67-68 (one of you older guys really should have pulled me aside and told me that you needed 30 academic hours per academic year to maitain a 2-S), I successfully avoided the draft by Joining the Marine Corps.
After loud, colorful times visiting foreign shores, I used the GI Bill at a commercial business school to become a computer programmer. I tried to be a regular corporate guy, but small businesses proved more to my temperament. Reasonably sucessful career, ending as a Manager of Data Processing for a large company that was bought by a larger company. Since I didn't want to get another straight job, I went out on my own October 1, 1993 and have not looked back. I am a one-man corporation doing computer consulting (

I've been married to Vanessa, nine years my junior, since 1978. We have two sons, Jason 25, and Joshua 23. Jason lives in a separate apartment at our house with his son, Grant 7. If you do the math on this, you can see our children's high school years were a fine adventure of all involved. Both sons have become good citizens and we thoroughly enjoy our grandson.
